EAST LONDON- The Bantu Holomisa Foundation hosted its highly anticipated charity golf day at the East London Golf Club on Friday, 22 August 2025. The event brought together about 160 golfers, united by a shared passion for golf and a commitment to giving back.

This year marks a significant milestone of 20 years of the Bantu Holomisa Foundation’s tireless efforts to uplift and empower marginalized communities. The foundation’s dedication to social justice and human development has cemented its reputation as a champion of change.
In addition the charity golf day raised an impressive R630,000 for worthy causes. The founder of the Bantu Holomisa Foundation, General Bantu Holomisa, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors, players and organisers for their generous support and contributions.
The Gcinabantu Hutchison Ngcukayithobi Foundation was one of the main sponsors of the event. Speaking on behalf of Gcinabantu Hutchison Ngcukayithobi Foundation Cwenga Songelwa emphasized the foundation’s commitment to the cause, “We’ve been proud sponsors of the Bantu Holomisa charity golf event and our partnership with the Bantu Holomisa Foundation is built on shared values and a commitment to giving back.”

Other sponsors included MTN, Sanlam, Old Mutual and Metropolitan.
Furthermore Regional Manager at Old Mutual’s Border Kei Region, Xolelwa Qika, expressed her team’s enthusiasm for participating in the charity event, highlighting their donation of Braille books to support schools.
The Dan Pasiya Foundation also showed their support, with Chairman Sturu Pasia saying, “We are supporting this charity because we appreciate the good cause. Seeing the charities benefit from this foundation makes us proud to be part of it, and we’ll continue to support the charity.”
General Holomisa added, “The sponsors have been good to us. I can mention MTN, Sanlam, Old Mutual, and all other sponsors.”

Market Activation Specialist at Metropolitan Eastern Cape Province, Nomatolo Nokukhanya Manjezi, expressed her organisation’s long-standing support for the Bantu Holomisa Foundation. “We’ve been proud partners of the foundation for three years, and we’re thrilled to continue our collaboration,” Manjezi said.
In addition representative from Birkview Lodge had this to say, “Birkview Lodge was thrilled to sponsor a weekend stay for Mr. Holomisa and his guests, and we’re excited to host the Wild Coast Cap Classique Festival on August 30, 2025. It’s a great opportunity to showcase our venue and support the local community.”
