Siyamamkela Wanga quits Miss Golden Heart, starts Vanquish Modelling Academy

KUGOMPO CITY- A significant shift in the local pageantry and youth development space has emerged following the immediate resignation of Mr. Siyamamkela Wanga from the Miss Golden Heart South Africa brand.

Wanga, who served the organisation for five years in multiple leadership roles including Co-Director, Managing Director, Digital Marketer, Graphic Designer, Sponsorship Manager and Public Speaker announced his departure on 30th March 2026 citing ongoing internal disagreements between directors.

“It is with tremendous sadness that I announce my immediate resignation. This decision follows numerous internal and personal conflicts. At this stage, I am unable to share further details with the public,” Wanga said in a statement.

Despite the circumstances surrounding his exit, Wanga extended well wishes to the organisation for its future.

Shortly after his resignation, the 28-year-old entrepreneur unveiled an ambitious new venture; Vanquish Modelling Academy set to launch in KuGompo City and surrounding areas.Describing the initiative as a ‘new dawn,’ Wanga said the academy reflects his long-standing desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.

“We aim to build an environment where young girls can overcome fear and obstacles and unlock their full potential,” he explained.

Unlike traditional modelling schools, Vanquish Modelling Academy will adopt a holistic approach to development.

In addition to runway training and pageantry preparation, the programme will focus on mental and emotional well-being, confidence-building and personal growth.

Wanga highlighted the social challenges faced by many young people today, including anxiety, peer pressure, low self-esteem and the fear of rejection.

“Society has imposed standards that often leave young people feeling uncertain and inadequate. Through this academy, we want to empower them to face their fears and embrace who they are,” he said.

The academy will offer a wide range of services, including public speaking, interview preparation, runway training, photography, fitness training, commercial modelling, social media management, talent management and personal grooming.

Registrations are currently open to aspiring models aged between 6 and 25 years from KuGompo and nearby communities, with no prior experience required.

Wanga envisions the academy eventually expanding across townships in South Africa, cultivating talent and instilling a spirit of resilience and ambition among youth.
