Soulful Sundays returns in KuGompo with Kelly Khumalo headlining

KUGOMPO- The Eastern Cape Jazz Festival is pleased to announce the return of Soulful Sundays, a spectacular music festival that has captivated audiences since its inception in 2022.

On 26 April 2026, Ronnie’s Motors in Beacon Bay,at KuGompo Citywill transform into a vibrant cultural hub featuring an extraordinary lineup of local talent, including the incomparable Kelly Khumalo, Alungile Lamani, Slogan and Blackman.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eastern Cape Jazz Festival, Mlindi Ntloko explained that this year’s event promises to be just as captivating, with a carefully curated program showcasing the best of local fashion, such as Zazi, artisanal food prepared by top professional chefs and refreshing summer drinks.

Ntloko said that the aim is to create an unforgettable experience that showcases the richness of local talent, with the event designed to be a VIP experience for everyone and the setting adding to the overall ambiance.

Furthermore, he added that with the presence of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) at the event, there will also be a live broadcast of the highly anticipated Derby match between Chiefs and Pirates and they will be capturing content for the event as well.

“For those who cannot attend, we will be live-streaming the event, ensuring that everyone can experience the magic of Soulful Sundays. We are currently finalizing the streaming platform and will announce details soon”, he said.
