MDANTSANE–Music lovers are in for a treat as the Mdantsane Music Festival returns on 13 September 2025 at Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape’s second-largest township. With a dynamic lineup including Vusi Nova, Cairo, Mr. Thela, Amanda Mankayi and more, the festival promises a day and night of unforgettable performances, celebrating local talent and cultural pride.
Event organiser Lonwabo Yiliwe says the festival isn’t just about entertainment it’s a celebration of community and growth.

“We’re creating a platform for emerging artists and contributing to local development. It’s about uplifting our township through music,” said Yiliwe.
The festival kicks off at 11:00 AM on 13 September and runs into the early hours of Sunday.

Tickets are still available through Computicket, priced between R250 and R600. “VIP tickets are almost sold out,” Yiliwe added, urging fans to book early for the premium experience.
In addition to top-tier performances, the event is geared to boost the local economy, create jobs and promote Mdantsane as a cultural hub.
The team has made provisions for all weather conditions to ensure the show goes on. “Rain or shine, we’re ready to deliver an unforgettable experience,” said Loyiso part of the organising team.
Now a key event on the Eastern Cape’s cultural calendar, the Mdantsane Music Festival blends music, community and celebration all in the heart of one of South Africa’s most vibrant townships.
