All systems go for Soulful Sundays in KuGompo City

KUGOMPO CITY- With just days to go, Soulful Sundays is nearing capacity with organisers confirming the event is 90% sold out ahead of its return on 26 April at Ronnie’s Motors Mercedes-Benz, in Beacon Bay, KuGompo City.

The popular lifestyle event, which blends music, food and sport has positioned itself as one of the Eastern Cape’s standout social experiences drawing growing interest from across the province.

Event founder Mlindi Ntloko says all operational elements are in place to ensure a smooth and secure event.“We’re ready to deliver a safe, sold-out, world-class experience that puts the Eastern Cape on the cultural map,” he said.

Organisers say attendees can expect a curated Sunday offering, including a professionally prepared lunch as well as a live screening of the Soweto Derby on big screens. A new indoor VIP section has also been introduced, while cooler box ticket holders will be limited to cans only.

Strict access control measures will be implemented, with a dedicated scanning team deployed at entry points. A shuttle service will operate from Aloe Park, with a ‘no ticket, no ride’ policy in place.

Security personnel will be stationed across the venue, including at gates, parking areas and VIP sections.

The event is restricted to persons aged 18 and older, with the right of admission reserved.A strong media presence is expected on the day.

SABC will conduct live inserts, while Mpuma Kapa TV is scheduled to film on site. Print and digital media outlets will also be in attendance.

Guests are encouraged to dress in smart casual attire, with organisers noting that attendees may appear on broadcast and in print coverage.Beyond entertainment, Soulful Sundays is being positioned as a contributor to local economic activity, with organisers highlighting its role in supporting tourism and job creation.

“This is not just an event. It’s a statement. We’re ready. The city is ready,” said Ntloko.

The final batch of tickets is currently available online, with organisers warning that no additional tickets will be released once capacity is reached.
