NQWEBA- The SPAR Kirkwood Wildfees was officially opened last night in Nqweba(formerlyknownasKirkwood), with distinguished guests from government, the corporate sector and local stakeholders in attendance. The event was graced by dignitaries including Minister of Tourism, Patricia de Lille; Eastern Cape Acting Premier, Mlungisi Mvoko; Sarah Baartman District Municipality Executive Mayor, Cllr. Deon de Vos; Sundays River Valley Municipality Mayor, Cllr. Solethu Lucas and Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency, Vuyani Dayimani.
The festival, which will run from Friday to Sunday is expected to draw large crowds and boost the local economy. Minister de Lille praised the opportunities the festival creates for local businesses, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing local service providers to contribute to the development of provincial SMMEs.
Mayor Lucas extended his gratitude to all stakeholders who worked tirelessly to prepare Nqweba for the festival and encouraged attendees to remain vigilant and safe during the event. He also invited visitors to explore the Valley and return to see more of what it has to offer tourists.

Furthermore, this festival will feature over 29 hours of live entertainment on the biggest sound stage in the Eastern Cape. A variety of over 300 stalls will take you on a tour of the wild and beyond.
