EAST LONDON— The Gcinabantu Hutchison Ngcukayitobi Foundation (GHNF) is set to host its second Swing for Peace Golf Day on 28 November 2025 at the East London Golf Course, combining sport with a strong call for social change.
GHNF chairperson Brenda Ngcukayithobi said the event is on track for success, with 100 players confirmed and all 24 balls sold out. She added that the foundation still welcomes donations from individuals and organisations, including support in the form of services.

Ngcukayithobi emphasized that, the event is about more than golf, “It is a way to raise awareness about gender‑based violence (GBV) and to promote safer, more caring communities,” she said.
She also thanked sponsors such as Absa, Metropolitan and VPN Automotive for their support. All proceeds from the event will go towards anti‑GBV initiatives, youth empowerment programmes, feeding schemes and Early Childhood Development nutrition centres, including a crèche in Luphaphazi.

As the event approaches, attendees are encouraged to dress formally and look forward to welcome gifts, on‑course refreshments, and a fundraising gala dinner.
In addition the Swing for Peace Golf Day aims to support efforts to reduce violence and promote positive change.
