EAST LONDON- The Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa(IMESA) is hosting a 3 day international conference in East London International Convention Centre(EL ICC) from 29 to 31 October 2025.IMESA Conference 2025 is centered around discussing themes relevant to municipal engineering and service delivery in Southern Africa, with a focus on sharing knowledge, insights, networking and community building also promoting excellence in municipal engineering.
Furthermore the conference is providing platform for professionals to share lessons learned from past projects, discuss crucial topics such as water management and recognise outstanding contributions and achievements in the field.

By bringing together experts and practitioners the conference seeks to advance municipal engineering practices in Southern Africa and foster connections among peers.
In addition the President of IMESA Geoff Tooley said, “The IMESA conference focuses on sustainable infrastructure and city sustainability discussions have covered so far are water infrastructure and local government white paper issues. We have brought together exhibitors and experts to interact with 650 delegates to showcases solutions and challenges in municipal engineering through 17 papers. The goal is to empower engineers to deliver better services to communities.”
