ENGCOBO- Tucked away in the picturesque slopes of Estilini Mountain, a revolutionary initiative is unfolding in Engcobo. Ubuntu Lifestyle Park, brainchild of Lizwi Stilo Mdalana is more than just a recreational space – it’s a vibrant hub for education, cultural preservation and economic empowerment.
Mdalana’s vision rooted in the principles of Ubuntu aims to provide a platform where young people can access essential resources, nurture their creativity and unlock their potential. Furthermore, the project has garnered widespread support from local leaders and residents, who recognize its potential to transform the region.
Community leader Bhodi Ntwala emphasized its significance stating, “This park is not just a park—it will be a place for growth, an initiative that will harness our kids’ future and a project for job creation.” Ubuntu Lifestyle Park promises to deliver a range of innovative facilities, including a state-of-the-art library, Iziko LamaBali storytelling center, performance venues and job creation and skills training programs.
Additionally, these initiatives will provide young people with valuable skills, preserve local culture and promote education. As the park takes shape it’s clear that it will be a game-changer for Engcobo’s youth. By providing access to education, cultural programs and economic opportunities, Ubuntu Lifestyle Park is ensuring that no dream is too big and no ambition is out of reach.
Stay tuned for updates on this groundbreaking project, as Eastern Cape Daily News continues to track its progress.
