EAST LONDON– A wave of inspiration swept through East London on 31st August 2025 as Abaveleli Funeral Directors a 100% black, female-owned business partnered with BMW-East London to host the empowering ‘She Leads, She Inspires event.’
Over 100 attendees gathered for a day of insightful dialogue, networking and celebration of women’s leadership. With a powerful lineup of speakers, the event aimed to inspire women to lead with purpose and confidence across all sectors.The program featured dynamic women leaders sharing their journeys and expertise.

A visionary entrepreneur Yolanda Mbolompo-Zaula, encouraged attendees to turn passion into purpose. A confidence coach Mandisa Hadebe Mthini, urged women to overcome self-doubt and embrace their inner power. Meanwhile an expert in taxation and financial literacy Tandisa Pupuma Mbanga , broke down financial barriers by making money matters more accessible.
Furthmore a Health and wellness were also spotlighted by Dr. Sibongile Mandondo a gynecologist. She addressed critical women’s health issues, including menstrual health and infertility. “I urge women to stop using products like Dettol and Savlon for personal hygiene as they may increase cancer risk,” she warned.
Her message emphasized the importance of education and proactive healthcare.
In addition Chief Executive Officer at Abaveleli Funeral Directors Nwabisa Saul, welcomed guests and shared the vision behind the initiative. “This is a space to celebrate the strength and resilience of women. Let’s continue to uplift one another and build a brighter future together,” she said.

She emphasized that the goal of the She Leads, She Inspires program is to support women in taking on leadership roles and making lasting impacts in their industries and communities.
The enthusiastic response to the event, with seats filling within minutes of its announcement, highlighted the community’s strong desire for such empowering spaces.
