EAST LONDON- A new era in pageantry is set to unfold on 04 October 2025 as Miss Golden Heart South Africa crowns its inaugural ZAZI titleholder at the elegant Lilitha Boutique Hotel in Beacon Bay, East London. More than just a competition the event marks a milestone in a movement that champions inner beauty, confidence and community service over traditional notions of appearance.
Founded in 2020 by Isipho Madondile-Wanga, Miss Golden Heart South Africa has steadily grown into a respected platform for empowering young women across the country. Under the leadership of Managing Director Siyamamkela Wanga, the pageant has carved out a distinct identity one that places the heart and mind at the forefront.

“This approach aims to empower young women, boosting their confidence and self-love while encouraging them to be their authentic selves,” said Wanga, emphasising the organisation’s mission to redefine beauty standards in South Africa.
This year’s pageant features 19 finalists from four provinces, with seven finalists; Somila Kango, Ovayo Dlilanga, Kwakhanya Zweni, Owam Msutu, Ntombikayise Zikhali, Asenathi Gwangqana and Mbali Hoza competing for the esteemed ZAZI crown.
Named after the Nguni word meaning ‘know yourself,’ the ZAZI title celebrates self-awareness, purpose and integrity.
The eventual winner will enjoy a host of coveted prizes, including a luxurious weekend retreat at Ellipse Waterfall Executive Apartments in Midrand, Gauteng and a fully sponsored trip to Durban.

Despite facing operational challenges such as budget constraints and participant dropouts, the organisation remains unwavering in its commitment to uplifting young women.
“A major challenge continues to be the financial barriers faced by many of our participants. But their dedication reminds us why this platform is so important,” noted founder Isipho Madondile-Wanga.
Looking ahead, the Miss Golden Heart South Africa team has ambitious plans to broaden its impact. Future initiatives include launching on an international stage, creating new titleholder categories and building partnerships to further community outreach and development.
As excitement builds for the finale, the public is invited to a special Meet & Greet Ceremony on 3rd October 2025 at Hemingways Mall. Attendees will get a chance to meet the finalists and view the official ZAZI crown ahead of the big night.

The Miss Golden Heart South Africa pageant promises to be more than a celebration of beauty, it’s a showcase of substance, self-worth and the boundless potential of young South African women.
