EAST LONDON- 230 dynamic administrative staff members from the Eastern Cape Department of Education have successfully completed a rigorous two-day training program at the prestigious Mandla Makupula Leadership Institute in East London on the 28th of November 2024, these talented individuals are set to take on the crucial role of head managers in 25 marking centres spread across the province.

The diverse team comprises dedicated centre managers, vigilant irregularity officials, meticulous compliance officers, efficient administrative assistants and skilled human resource personnel.

Eastern Cape Department of Education MEC’s spokesperson Vuyiseka Mboxela said, “ I can confirm that indeed currently we have a workshop that is in session which is meant to prepare and train those that are going to be responsible at making centres.”

Their mission is to ensure smooth operations and uphold standards of excellence as they oversee the marking process. “As the department our own planning is to make sure that by the time they close marking centres there is no script that is not captured,” added Mboxela.

Armed with enthusiasm and expertise, they will conduct thorough checklists to confirm that all logistical arrangements are in place before marking commences.

With this talented team at the helm, success is not just a possibility, it’s a certainty.
