CACADU- A massive manhunt has been launched by provincial police after a body of 92-year-old woman was found brutally murdered in her home in the Bengu Administrative Area outside Cacadu.
According to police reports the victim’s body was discovered on 22nd November 2024 at around 20:30, in a wheelbarrow at a neighbor’s homestead. The victim was found naked and preliminary investigations suggest that she may have been killed between 20 – 22 November 2024.
According to an anonymous source a man allegedly identified as Tsietso Ranchoebe, a Lesotho national who resided in Jombela Nyingeni, he is believed to have committed the heinous crime.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni said, “The police are investigating a case of murder and no arrests have been made yet, the motive behind the killing is still unclear at stage and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.”
Detective Sergeant Lunga Jobe who is leading the investigation, has appealed to the public to assist with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect/s.
