But who is the woman behind the impressive fitness achievement?Growing up in rural Bizana, Vuyokazi ‘Fit Mpondo’ Ntsantsa faced a childhood troubled by weight struggles and the painful stigma that came with it, yet instead of letting the negativity break her. She drew strength from her struggles using them as fuel to drive her remarkable transformation. However, with persistence and determination she was able to overcome these obstacles and achieve her goals.
Today, Vuyokazi is a proud advocate for fitness and wellness in rural areas,”I believe I joined social media at the perfect time in my life when I was already content with myself and had embraced all my flaws,” Vuyokazi said.
When faced with criticism and negativity on social media Fit Mpondo chose to focus on positivity and education. “I know for certain that truly happy people don’t have time to make others miserable, when I do respond to negativity, it’s usually to educate people and encourage those who face similar challenges daily,” she said.
