Lhoza WamaMfene set to launch bold new podcast for real conversations

XESI– Eastern Cape media personality Nolho Vitsha, popularly known as ‘Lhoza WamaMfene‘, is preparing to launch a new podcast aimed at confronting some of the most pressing challenges facing South African communities today.

The podcast, titled ‘Real Talk With Lhoza WamaMfene,’ will explore social issues including gender-based violence (GBV), mental health, equality, entrepreneurship and social justice.

Born and raised in Xesi, Debe-Marele village Lhoza WamaMfene emphasised that her media journey began in an unexpected place.

“It all started at church, that’s where I discovered my journey in the media space,” she reflected. Lhoza WamaMfene holds a Diploma in Tourism from Damelin College(1999), has completed Business Management studies at Buffalo City Technical Vocational Education and Training(TVET) College (2025) and is pursuing a Higher Certificate in Economic and Management Sciences through University of South Africa(UNISA).

As the founder of Jambase Communications, she has established herself as a versatile figure in the media industry. Her company offers media buying, programme directing, Master of Ceremonies(MC) services and voice-over work.

Furthermore between 2018 and 2022, she served as the station manager at Keith Ngesi Radio before moving on to expand her professional horisons.

Currently, WamaMfene is the brand ambassador for Nomatye Funeral Services, where she promotes products, manages social media platforms and contributes to marketing initiatives. She also serves as programmes coordinator for Isisombululo Solutions, a Non-profit organisation(NPO) delivering life-skills programmes centred on GBV, HIV prevention, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse and anger management.

In addition despite her demanding schedule, WamaMfene remains grounded in her role as a mother. “Despite everything, my abilities are a testament to my capacity to handle the demands of my career,” she said.

Her career began with humble roots as a newsreader, but she has since expanded her repertoire to become a speaker, events MC, broadcaster, radio presenter, voice-over artist, relationship coach, corporate host and even a Boxing SA ring announcer.

Driven by faith and a commitment to community upliftment, WamaMfene continues to inspire many across the Eastern Cape. “God doesn’t give you what you can’t handle,” she said, emphasising the role her spirituality plays in her personal and professional journey.

The upcoming podcast is expected to create a safe and engaging platform for dialogue, offering listeners both insight and empowerment as it delves into issues shaping everyday life.
