EAST LONDON– The Gcinabantu Hutchison Ngcukayitobi Foundation (GHNF) is set to host its flagship Swing for Peace Golf Day on 28th November 2025 at the East London Golf Course in East London, turning sport into a powerful tool for social change. In a nation still healing from the trauma of gender-based violence (GBV), this annual gathering aims to transform every swing into a step toward safer, more compassionate communities.
Founded on the belief that peace must be practised, the GHNF channels all proceeds from the event into anti-GBV programmes, youth empowerment initiatives, feeding schemes and the restoration of the Stoney Drift Centre into a hub of dignity and hope.

According to the foundation, “When we swing a club for peace we swing away the shadows of violence.”
Participants will take part in a full 4-ball tournament featuring sponsored holes, curated welcome gifts and on-course refreshments. The day also offers networking opportunities with community leaders, social justice advocates, and influential guests who share a vision for a just and peaceful South Africa. In addition the event will culminate in an elegant fundraising gala dinner, complete with live entertainment, keynote addresses and a pledge-making ceremony a solemn highlight that has become the hallmark of the evening.

Funds raised will be directed toward sustaining and expanding vital services that support survivors of violence and prevent future abuse.
The Foundation invites all who believe that sport can drive change to take part whether by registering a team, sponsoring a hole or offering in-kind donations. Interested participants and sponsors can contact the Foundation at: admin@gcinabantu.org.za

As 28th November draws near, the Swing for Peace Golf Day stands as a powerful reminder that even a single swing can echo far beyond the fairway toward a future free from violence and injustice.
