EAST LONDON- For more than a decade, Art Versatile Africa has stood as a beacon of creativity and innovation in the Eastern Cape weaving art, community and culture into a powerful narrative of resilience and expression.
Nestled in the heart of Arcadia in East London, the institution has long been known for its vibrant private studio. Now, it is set to open the doors of its newly reopened art gallery on 26 September, promising an elevated experience for art lovers across the province.

Founder and Marketing Director Litha Ncokazi describes the space as more than just a gallery, it’s a movement. “It’s quite an honor to still be standing after the terrible years of COVID-19. Art Versatile Africa has always been about igniting imagination, encouraging creativity and giving local talent a platform to shine.”

The institution offers a range of unique programs and services, including creative team-building courses, which Ncokazi proudly states are designed to foster neuroplasticity and spark imagination not only for artists, but for professionals from all walks of life.
Furthermore their curated collection of handmade products from premium-quality paintings and hand-crafted ceramics to intricate printmaking pieces celebrates the craftsmanship of local creators.

Additionally, custom art commissions allow clients to bring their personal visions to life, making art more accessible and meaningful in everyday spaces. “My first love was creativity, it’s my place that brings me closer to myself, that makes me in sync with who I am,” he said.
Visitors to Art Versatile Africa often describe the gallery as breathtaking and deeply professional, evoking powerful emotions through its array of sculptures and paintings. The space is designed to be a sanctuary for artistic exploration whether you’re an established artist, an art enthusiast or simply someone seeking inspiration.
