QONCE- A lucky lottery player from Qonce has started the new year as a multimillionaire, winning a staggering R40 million in the Lotto Plus 1 draw.The Lotto Plus 1 jackpot winner was announced on 28th December 2024.
According to the National Lottery operator Ithuba the winning ticket was purchased at a local retail store but the winner has yet to come forward to claim their prize.
Ithuba Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Charmain Mabuza said, “We are thrilled that the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot has created another multimillionaire, closing 2024 on a high note.”
Ithuba is urging all participants from Qonce and surrounding areas to check their tickets immediately, as there are still over R133 million in unclaimed winnings as of 30th November 2024. Players have 365 days to claim their prizes before they expire and are redirected to support community causes.
To validate their tickets, participants can visit their nearest retail store or Ithuba office.
