ZWELITSHA- A 24 year old woman Nassy Zama is accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend, Camagu Sebe on 1st December 2024 in Zwelitsha. Allegations suggest that Zama was motivated by jealousy, which led to a quarrel between the couple.
According to Eastern Cape South African Police Services(SAPS) spokesperson Lt. colonel Siphokazi Mawisa, the suspect had a quarrel with the deceased, a 44-year-old male at Ezizeni Location,in Tshatshu.
“The altercation turned deadly when the suspect stabbed the victim, who died on the scene. The suspect was arrested for murder and appeared at the Zwelitsha Magistrate Court on 4th December 2024,” said colonel Mawisa.
Furthermore, the incident coincides with the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence(GBV), a global campaign aimed at raising awareness and mobilizing action to prevent violence against women, men and children.
Provincial SAPS launched an investigation into the incident and further details are expected to emerge as the case unfolds.
Zama is expected to face charges related to the alleged murder, as the case unfolds, more details are expected to emerge.
