GQEBERHA- Chippa United FC has bid farewell to Coach Kwanele Kopo as he steps down from his position as head coach, this comes after a statement issued by Chippa United FC on 31 December 2024.
According to the statement issued by Chippa United FC, “The renowned coach who made a significant impact since joining the club in January 2024, has decided not to extend his contract opting instead to focus on personal priorities back in Johannesburg.”
During his tenure Kopo steered the team through a successful year, leaving a lasting mark on the club’s evolution.
Furthermore his leadership, professionalism and commitment have been instrumental in the progress achieved by Chippa United FC under his guidance.
As one chapter closes another begins, with Coach Thabo September set to take the reins as the new head coach. Accompanied by the experienced assistant coach Mabhuti Khanyeza, the duo aims to continue the club’s legacy of competitive performances and talent development.
While Kopo’s departure marks the end of an era, it also signifies a new beginning for Chippa United FC. The club remains dedicated to building on the foundation laid by Coach Kopo and is determined to uphold its standards of excellence on the field.
